about

This original song was written over the past few days.

I know I think about death an awful lot in my day to day. I'm just prone to it I guess--though I don't consider myself a pessimistic person at all. I can't stop listening to songs about death and I find they help both console and inspire me rather than bring me down.

I try hard to create something new everyday if possible because I really do wake up in the middle of the night with the chilling reminder that one day it will all end. No longer being able to create and participate in life scares me more than I can easily convey.

The certainty of death is the best possible motivator I have ever found to keep remembering to create, love, and live with all that I've got. I do believe that every day is a gift.

Take care out there folks, I wish us all well.

lyrics

I dreamed last night
I was the frog
I was the fly
I got caught in
my own mouth and died

I died
Oh I died

I flew around the water
I flew off with my tongue
I flew into the sky
I flew towards the sun

I fly
Oh I fly

CHORUS:
Heaven
may know my pain
But that Devil
knows my name
And the people on Earth
Yeah we remain the same
And the sad thing is
We're the only ones to blame

I think a lot about
the frog and the fly
I think a lot about
what it means to die

I try
Oh I try

I wake up in the night
I know my end will come
There's nothing I can do
There's nowhere I can run

I cry
Oh I cry

CHORUS x2

I think a lot about
the frog and the fly
